Job description

Position Overview

Invasive Academy, RTC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dynamic mental health team. This full-time position is fully remote and offers an opportunity to work in an outpatient clinical setting, where you will be integral in helping clients gain a deeper understanding of their mental health challenges and supporting them on their journey toward improved well-being. With a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 105,000 yearly, your valuable contributions towards mental health recovery will be recognized and rewarded.

About the Organization

At Invasive Academy, RTC, we believe in a future where mental health care is as accessible and integrated as physical health care, enhancing the overall health of individuals and communities. Our mission is to break down barriers to mental health services, providing personalized and effective treatments that empower individuals to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives. Our team comprises experienced professionals who are passionate about initiating this change and making a difference in the behavioral health landscape.

Work Environment

Invasive Academy operates within a fully virtual framework, allowing for flexible working conditions that fit the diverse needs of our team members. While our office is an outpatient setting, you will conduct assessments, counseling sessions, and follow-up appointments from the comfort of your own home or other preferred locations. This remote model not only promotes work-life balance but also enables you to connect with clients from various backgrounds and demographics, allowing for a rich blend of perspectives and experiences in our counseling practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments and progress evaluations to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each client's specific needs.
  • Maintain open communication with a spectrum of stakeholders, including direct care staff, supervisors, family members, and external support services, ensuring a collaborative approach to client care.
  • Administer and schedule home visits conducting critical observations, documentation reviews, and interviews to gain insight into the environments in which clients operate.
  • Participate actively in Interdisciplinary Team Meetings to discuss patient progress, share insights, and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Document client progress with detailed monthly and quarterly reports that inform treatment adjustments and outcomes.
  • Facilitate training sessions for team members, equipping them with the necessary skills to implement program plans effectively.
  • Serve as a public liaison with mental health communities, engaging in outreach activities that support our organizational goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our counseling services cater to a diverse client population, including both adults and youth facing various mental health challenges. This provides a unique opportunity for LPCs to apply their expertise across different age groups and needs, tailoring their approach to foster resilience and recovery in those they serve. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, you will have the chance to engage with clients experiencing family dynamics, substance misuse issues, trauma, and other significant life transitions.

Qualifications

  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
  • Must hold active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor in the state of New Jersey.
  • A minimum of 2 years of direct counseling experience, ideally in a clinical context, is mandatory.
  • Solid understanding of legal and ethical standards in counseling practice.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are essential for establishing rapport with a broad range of clientele.

Preferred Experience

  • Specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, substance misuse treatment, or trauma-informed care is highly preferred.
  • Experience working in team-based healthcare environments.
  • Familiarity with EMR software and technologies relevant to mental health documentation and reporting.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of USD 80,000 - 105,000 based on experience and caseload.
  • Flexible work hours to accommodate personal schedules and commitments.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage for eligible employees.
  • Life insurance and malpractice insurance to safeguard your professional practice.

Joining Invasive Academy provides a solid foundation for your career advancement in counseling. We encourage continual professional development through workshops, specialized training, and opportunities to advance within the organization.
