Job description

Job Title

This position is responsible for generating sales and gross profit for the company by prospecting for new customers, analyzing the needs of new and existing customers and meeting or exceeding those needs profitably.

Services in bound telephone calls and makes outgoing telephone sales calls according to the established standards.

Verifies that the merchandise the customer has ordered is in stock by accessing the computer and reviewing for correctness. Processes orders for shipment.

Prospects for new customers, increasing sales and profit.

Regularly contacts existing customers with product offerings.

Determines customers' needs for our product by communicating with the customer and researching the customer's business.

Establishes strong relationship with assigned customers by offering superior customer service.

Meets individual service professional's goals as established by the Sales Management.

Provides feedback to Sales Management regarding sales activities, trends and product requests by customers.

Stays up-to-date and is knowledgeable about the products RSR sells, the stock numbers of the products and the basic functions of the warehouse operation.

Provides input on products and vendor lines upon request.

Assists the Credit Department in collecting overdue accounts while preserving good customer relations.

Participates in the training of new Service Professionals.

Works well in a team environment, and works as a professional within that team.

Participates in sales meetings.

Occasionally travels to attend promotions, trade shows and prospects for new customers.

The Service Professional must possess strong sales, negotiation and customer service skills. This individual must be able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with customers and co-workers. The position requires strong attention to detail and follow-up skills. The ability to handle multiple tasks is necessary. This position requires regular use office equipment such as computer, calculator and telephone. The majority of the work is performed on the telephone and entering orders into via computer in an office environment. This position requires occasional travel.

While performing the duties of the Service Professional, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision ability required include, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
