ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILTIES:

  • Lead and perform system analysis and solution design for new applications as well as enhancements to existing systems.
  • Lead modernization and continuous improvement initiatives across enterprise applications and platforms to enhance business capabilities and operational efficiency.
  • Develop, test, and debug new programs or modify existing ones based on specifications and production requirements.
  • Build applications in accordance with approved technical architecture and detailed design specifications.
  • Design and implement data integration and communication frameworks between systems.
  • Complete technical deliverables are completed within established timelines while meeting project objectives and architectural standards.
  • Develop and oversee the execution of test plans and validation strategies to ensure system quality and reliability.
  • Prepare technical specifications, user manuals, and system documentation.
  • Provide production support and troubleshoot system-related issues.
  • Support user acceptance testing, training initiatives, and end-to-end system integration testing to ensure successful solution delivery.
  • Coordinate and support the deployment into production environments, ensuring stability and business continuity.
  • Troubleshoot AS/400 system performance issues through analysis of job logs, spool files, and system metrics.
  • Participate in and lead activities across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams utilizing Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, to deliver scalable and efficient technology solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and organizational policies and regulations while performing responsibilities.
  • Perform additional responsibilities and strategic initiatives as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS):
The minimum requirements include:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent IT experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive IT experience in systems analysis, application development, solution architecture, and enterprise systems support.
  • Proven experience leading system design, architecture, integration, modernization, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • 10+ years proficiency with hands-on experience in the following:
    • RPG, RPGLE, Free-format RPGLE
    • CL, CLLE, CLP
    • SQL, SQLRPGLE, Stored Procedures
  • Experience using IBM MQ, FTP, iSeries Navigator, Integrated File System (IFS)
  • Experience with IBMi IWS (Integrated Web Services)
  • Experience with JSON, RESTful APIs, and SOAP web services, including both development and integration
  • Experience designing and implementing data integration and communication between enterprise applications and platforms.
  • Experience in change management tools (Aldon Change Management (ACMS), Implementer, Turnover etc.)
  • Experience in impact analysis tools (Hawkeye, Abstract etc.)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver scalable, secure, and reliable technology solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Experience in logistics, WMS, and/or manufacturing environment is a strong advantage.
