What is an RPA remote job?

An RPA Remote job involves working with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) technologies from a remote location, rather than on-site. Professionals in these roles design, develop, test, and maintain software robots that automate repetitive business processes. The remote aspect means all tasks, including collaboration and troubleshooting, are done online using digital communication tools. This setup allows for flexibility and access to global opportunities within the growing field of automation.

What are some common challenges faced by RPA professionals working remotely, and how can they overcome them?

Remote RPA professionals often encounter challenges in collaborating with cross-functional teams, particularly when troubleshooting automation issues or aligning on project requirements. To overcome these challenges, it's important to establish clear communication channels, utilize collaborative tools for code sharing and project management, and schedule regular virtual check-ins with stakeholders. Additionally, maintaining thorough documentation and participating in remote peer reviews can help ensure alignment and quality in automation projects.

Both roles are integral to RPA projects but differ in responsibilities and skill requirements.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an RPA remote specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as an RPA Remote Specialist, you need strong analytical abilities, experience with process automation, and a background in computer science or related fields. Familiarity with RPA tools such as UiPath, Blue Prism, or Automation Anywhere, along with certifications in these platforms, is typically required. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and self-management skills help you collaborate effectively and stay productive in a remote environment. These skills are crucial for designing efficient automation solutions, ensuring seamless implementation, and maintaining high performance while working independently.

The Opportunity:
As a facilities manager, you understand that relationship-building and keen attention to detail is crucial when overseeing the life cycle of a project. As an experienced facilities professional at Booz Allen, you can use your client engagement skills to impact projects that will strengthen installation readiness and improve the Marine Corps' enterprise management of real property assets. We need someone like you who is eager to work on complex, high-visibility projects that'll shape infrastructure policy, inform strategic decision-making, and provide accurate and timely real estate information.
On our team, you'll manage challenging projects for sensitive missions from beginning to end while collaborating with senior leadership. You'll oversee a team to develop creative solutions on mission-critical installation management and real estate policy development projects.
In this role, you'll closely impact Marine Corps real estate governance by tracking enterprise-level real estate actions, drafting policy based on DoW and statutory guidance, preparing congressional-level decision packages, supporting audit-readiness documentation, and delivering training and guidance to Regions and Installations. With mentoring, exposure to challenging projects, and opportunities to learn new tools and skills, we focus on growing as a team to make the best solutions for our customers. Work with us as we facilitate projects that impact enterprise real estate management for the better.
Join us. The world can't wait.
You Have:
  • Experience interpreting statutory and regulatory requirements and independently drafting formal documentation, including policy drafts, handbooks, meeting agendas and minutes, guidance documents, and senior-level briefing materials
  • Experience developing congressional-level decision packages or audit-related real estate documentation
  • Experience supporting high-visibility and mission-critical projects
  • Knowledge of real estate management principles, NDAA real estate provisions, or DoW Instruction 4165.70
  • Knowledge of facility or real estate planning processes within government, military, or complex enterprise environments
  • Ability to coordinate meeting logistics and compile polished meeting documentation, such as agendas, minutes, or action items
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or Business Administration and 10+ years of experience in real property, real estate policy, facility management, or installation-level asset management, or Master's degree and 5+ years of experience in real property, real estate policy, facility management, or installation-level asset management

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience supporting real estate efforts at Marine Corps installations, regions, enterprise-level, or other DoW real property organizations
  • Experience providing real estate policy and process training to installation and region-level personnel
  • Experience developing or maintaining enterprise-level tracking tools, reports, or dashboards
  • Knowledge of enterprise real estate or facility management systems, such as GIS, IWMS, GRX, or FIS
  • Ability to synthesize real property policy, compliance requirements, and installation-level practices
  • Master's degree in Real Estate, Planning, Public Administration, or related field
  • PMP, IFMA, RPA, or related facility or real estate management certifications

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
