Job description

Position Overview

The Royal Heights Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and passionate Sports Rehabilitation Physical Therapist to join our high-performance team in Boulder City, Nevada. This full-time position is ideal for an individual keen on delivering targeted rehabilitation services to athletes and active individuals looking to recover and enhance their performance. You will work onsite, directly with patients in a dynamic environment dedicated to restoring their physical capabilities.

About the Organization

At Royal Heights Rehabilitation Center, we pride ourselves on offering exceptional sports rehabilitation and recovery services. Unlike conventional therapy clinics, we cater specifically to athletes of all levels—from amateur players to elite professionals. Our mission is to provide personalized and effective treatment options that optimize physical performance and expedite recovery. Our expert staff combines clinical knowledge with advanced rehabilitation technologies, creating a comprehensive range of therapies tailored to individual athletic needs.

Work Environment

The successful candidate will be part of a collaborative environment that includes skilled professionals from various disciplines, including physical therapy, strength and conditioning, and sports medicine. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art tools and technologies—such as force plates, motion capture systems, and blood flow restriction (BFR) therapy devices—to aid in advanced treatment methods. With a focus on a low patient volume per day, we ensure that each therapist can dedicate quality time to each client, providing a unique opportunity for personalized care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations focused on athletes’ specific sports to assess their physical abilities and rehabilitation needs.
  • Create and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at optimizing return-to-sport strategies, incorporating evidence-based practices tailored to each patient’s needs.
  • Utilize advanced therapeutic techniques such as manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and plyometric training in treatment sessions.
  • Collaborate with coaches, orthopedic specialists, and other healthcare professionals to work towards common goals for patient recovery and performance enhancement.
  • Monitor and document patient progress closely and adjust therapeutic interventions as necessary.
  • Educate athletes on injury prevention strategies, training modifications, and lifestyle changes to facilitate long-term success and resilience.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will focus on a diverse range of clients, primarily athletes at all levels, who seek to recover from injuries or enhance their physical performance. This includes working with high school and college athletes, recreational sports enthusiasts, and competitive athletes in various sports disciplines. Your role will be pivotal in guiding these clients toward regaining full functionality and achieving their athletic goals.

Qualifications
  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
  • Current and active Nevada state physical therapy license or eligibility for licensure.
  • A solid foundation in sports rehabilitation practices and a genuine interest in treating athletes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that foster communication and collaboration with athletes, their families, and a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct experience in sports physical therapy or a related field.
  • Certifications such as CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) or SCS (Sports Certified Specialist) are highly desirable.
  • Prior involvement in athletic training or strength and conditioning roles is a plus.
  • New graduates with significant sports involvement and a strong eagerness to learn are encouraged to apply; mentorship will be provided.
Compensation and Benefits

The compensation package for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, coupled with performance incentives. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match.
  • Paid time off (PTO) and continuing education unit (CEU) reimbursement.
  • Sign-on bonus or relocation assistance for eligible candidates.
  • Access to cutting-edge sports rehabilitation technologies.
Career Growth Opportunities

The Royal Heights Rehabilitation Center offers numerous opportunities for professional development and advancement within the organization. You can enhance your skills through mentorship programs, journal clubs, and supportive pathways toward board certification as a Sports Certified Specialist. Additionally, there are opportunities for clinical specialization or leadership roles as you progress in your career.

Why Join Our Team

By becoming a part of our team, you will not only impact the lives of our patients but also engage in a fulfilling career that promotes continuous learning and teamwork. Our collaborative model allows you to enhance your skills and expertise while being supported by a team that values innovation and high standards of care. If you're ready to make a meaningful difference in the realm of sports rehabilitation, we would love to hear from you!
