Royal Automotive Group has a wide array of Technician/Mechanic roles available within our multiple Tucson locations. We base our hiring decisions on each specific applicant's skill set, personality, and where a candidate will fit best. We believe in promoting from within and growing employees over time, so this application will help us in learning more about you and your career goals.

The Technician/Mechanic is responsible for servicing and repairing vehicles as assigned by the Service Manager, Team Leader, or Assistant Service Manager. In addition, the Service Technician may be assigned to conduct pre-delivery service on new vehicles to ensure excellent working order upon delivery to the customer.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Expertly diagnoses issues based on experience, analysis, and testing
  • Maintains leading-edge knowledge of automotive diagnosis technology, digital manuals, and reference materials
  • Maintains an increasingly broad knowledge of how vehicles' complex components work and interact
  • Performs routine service inspections and tests and lubricates engines and other major components
  • Repairs vehicles that run on gasoline, electricity, or alternative fuels
  • Adapts to rapidly changing technologies in the automotive industry

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be able to perform the physical duties associated with this position
  • Must have at least 3 years experience and/ or training
  • Post high school tech school or ASE certification desired
  • Must have an impressive work-ethic
  • Neat, clean, and professional appearance
  • Must have an unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
  • Must be able to operate a standard-transmission vehicle
