What are rowdies?

A 'rowdy' is typically a term used in the context of Indian cinema and sports, referring to someone who is a troublemaker or engages in unruly behavior. In some regions, especially in South India, the term can also denote individuals involved in local gangs or those who exert influence through intimidation. However, in pop culture and sports, a 'rowdy' can also mean a passionate or energetic supporter, such as fans of certain teams. The interpretation largely depends on the context in which the term is used.
