The Experience You'll Create:
As a Route Merchandiser, you will play a key role in servicing and merchandising our vending machines and markets, delivering OCS orders, and helping maintain the cleanliness of our equipment. Your commitment to providing exceptional customer service will enhance client satisfaction. You will utilize a company vehicle, and a company owned tablet or phone to maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper product rotation, including checking expiration dates. Additionally, you will be responsible for accurate accounting of all proceeds associated with your routes.
Shift: Monday - Friday 12 PM to 8/9 PM
This position is working from July to October with potential to convert to full time.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels across all product categories, including beverages, pre‑packaged foods, fresh items, and snacks.
  • Count, record, and order inventory following established protocols; complete full inventory counts as required.
  • Restock shelves, coolers, coffee stations, and other product displays, ensuring proper product rotation and adherence to inventory tracking procedures.
  • Remove, document, and properly handle out‑of‑date or rejected merchandise.
  • Load and unload products safely, using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
  • Deliver merchandise using a company vehicle while ensuring all perishable items are handled and refrigerated appropriately during transit and stocking.
  • Optimize route efficiency to reduce overall drive time and improve productivity.
  • Ensure coolers and refrigeration units are maintaining proper temperatures; report any deviations.
  • Collect money from kiosks and vending machines, following all cash‑handling and loss‑prevention protocols; record transactions accurately.
  • Monitor and report any unusual or concerning activity related to safety, security, or potential misconduct.
  • Perform routine cleaning of coffee machines, microwaves, coolers, shelves, racks, counters, floors, windows, and surrounding areas to maintain a clean and professional point of sale.
  • Inspect product quality and appearance, report stale or defective items, and conduct a final walk‑through to ensure standards are met.
  • Initiate service requests when equipment issues require technical support.
  • Capable and proficient in providing training to new Route Merchandisers, depending on regional needs.
  • Ability to successfully complete an 8-12 week on‑the‑job training program.
  • Perform additional assignments and projects as needed.

  • High School Diploma or GED, and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record; must meet all DOT requirements and pass a comprehensive background and driving history check.
  • Prior experience in delivery, route driving, merchandising, or customer service preferred.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to read, speak, and understand English.
  • Proficient with computers, iPads, GPS technology, and basic inventory systems; ability to operate box trucks preferred.
