Job Description Emergency Veterinarian - Ethos ER Immerse Mentorship Program - Albuquerque, New Mexico

Route 66 ECC is seeking veterinarians passionate about working in emergency medicine for our 6-12 month training and mentorship program. We are looking for individuals who are team-oriented, driven, reflective, and reliable to train with us and transition into an ER position at Route 66 ECC.

With a diverse emergency caseload, advanced diagnostic capabilities, and a highly collaborative team, Route 66 ECCC provides an outstanding environment for both experienced ER veterinarians and doctors beginning their emergency careers through our ER Immerse mentorship program.

The Ethos ER Immerse Training Program

The ER Immerse Program will prepare veterinarians for a sustainable and satisfying career in emergency medicine. Built from the ground up to be different than traditional rotating internship programs, the ERi program has been developed around a curriculum of core competencies essential for an emergency veterinarian. In addition to providing training around clinical knowledge and skills, the program also includes a focus on client and team member communication, professional skills, and life/work integration.

The ER Immerse program utilizes a hybrid training approach incorporating simulation-based didactic components into authentic training experiences with live patients. The curriculum is designed using an evidence-based strategy identifying competencies and skills deemed essential for a successful career as an emergency clinician.

Applications:

Applications are accepted year-round; however, mentorship positions are limited. To maximize your chances of securing a placement, we recommend submitting your application by November 1st. Applications received after this date will be considered as opportunities remain available.

Work authorization in the United States is a requirement for the position. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship by the company, but candidates eligible for TN status may be considered.

  • 6-12month training program beginning June 2027 *Rolling Start Dates Available
  • 2-year commitment as an ER clinician at an Route 66 ECCC following training
