Job description

Grow your career with Rotochopper! We're hiring a Press Brake Operator on a split shift or our second shift. As a Press Brake Operator, you are a key team member in creating parts for Rotochopper equipment. This position is responsible for operating a press brake and other fabrication equipment to produce quality parts for our products.

Split Shift: 12:00pm - 10:30pm, Monday - Thursday

Second Shift: 4:00pm to 2:30am, Monday - Thursday

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set up and operate press brake machines
  • Produce high quality components with minimal error
  • Read and interpret prints to ensure accurate fabrication of parts
  • Review daily manufacturing functions and job orders to ensure awareness of requirements
  • Inspects or measure parts using ruler, gauges, squares, and other measuring tools for quality purposes.
  • Load and unload materials from storage racks using a forklift.
  • Must be present on the job to perform assigned duties and be able to work overtime as needed.
  • Follow safe work practices and company safety standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience as Press Brake operator or other metal forming equipment is preferred
  • Experience is preferred, but open to training the ideal candidate who demonstrates strong potential.
  • Basic blueprint experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Self-starter with a strong attention to detail and basic written and verbal communication skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift, push, pull or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Be able to bend, stoop, and reach. Employee will go extended periods of time standing and performing repetitive tasks.
  • The employee will also be required to stand; walk; use hand dexterity; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance, talk and hear.
  • Work conditions include non-climate controlled industrial environment with moving equipment, manufacturing machines and welders, along with overhead cranes.
