Job description

Injection Molding Production Technician

Mukwonago, WI 53149 | Full-time | Temp-to-hire

A day on the floor starts with a quick check of your presses. Hoppers are filled, controls are set, and you keep a close eye on every cycle. As parts release, you examine them for any signs of flashing, pull out anything that doesn’t meet spec, and loop in your supervisor if something looks off. Throughout the shift, you rotate between 3–4 machines, top off material, run quick leak and lift checks on lids, and keep your station clean and safe. By the end of the day, parts are consistent, equipment is running smoothly, and quality standards are met.

What You’ll Handle
  • Run 3–4 injection molding machines at once to meet production goals
  • Load plastic resin and ensure materials are ready when needed
  • Watch machine performance and respond promptly to alarms or irregularities
  • Check parts for defects with a focus on flashing; remove and discard nonconforming pieces
  • Escalate quality or machine concerns to your supervisor quickly
  • Perform functional checks: Leak Test (confirm lids do not leak) and Lift Test (verify lids open correctly and meet durability expectations)
  • Maintain orderliness and follow all safety procedures
Schedule & Pay

This role follows a 12-hour rotating 2–2–3 schedule with alternating days off and potential weekends.

  • 1st Shift: 6:20 AM – 6:30 PM | $18.50/hour
  • 2nd Shift: 6:20 PM – 6:30 AM | $20.35/hour
About You
  • Entry-level friendly—no previous machine operating experience needed; training provided
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn new equipment
  • Comfortable with a 12-hour rotating schedule
  • Detail-focused with a commitment to quality
  • Team-oriented with solid communication skills
  • Able to stand for long periods and perform repetitive work
Physical Demands
  • Lift, move, and load materials into machines
  • Stand for extended periods throughout the shift
  • Use hands repetitively and visually inspect parts
