Industrial Pump Mechanic / Rotating Equipment Technician

Rotaserv, LP is seeking an experienced Industrial Pump Mechanic / Rotating Equipment Technician to join our team in Rowlett, TX.

Since 1978, Rotaserv has specialized in repairing centrifugal pumps and rotating equipment for critical industrial applications. We serve municipal water utilities, power plants, steel mills, paper mills, food processing facilities, universities, hospitals, commercial HVAC systems, and high-rise buildings. Our work keeps essential infrastructure operating every day.

We're looking for an experienced mechanic with a strong background repairing centrifugal pumps and rotating equipment. If you take pride in quality workmanship and enjoy solving complex mechanical problems, we'd like to hear from you.

What You'll Do

As an Industrial Pump Mechanic, you'll repair and rebuild centrifugal pumps and rotating equipment in our Rowlett repair facility and occasionally perform field service work.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, inspect, diagnose, repair, and rebuild centrifugal pumps and rotating equipment

• Repair vertical turbine, split-case, end suction, positive displacement, and submersible pumps

• Replace bearings, seals, shafts, impellers, couplings, and other mechanical components

• Perform precision pump and motor alignment

• Diagnose vibration, leakage, wear, and equipment performance issues

• Complete detailed inspection reports with written documentation and photos

• Read and interpret equipment drawings and service manuals

• Safely operate shop equipment including balance machines, drill presses, and precision measuring tools

• Follow all company safety procedures while maintaining a clean, organized work environment

Minimum Qualifications

3+ years of experience repairing centrifugal pumps or rotating equipment

• Strong experience performing pump and motor alignment

• Experience disassembling, inspecting, rebuilding, and troubleshooting industrial pumps

• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Experience using industrial shop equipment and precision measuring tools

• Ability to safely lift and handle heavy mechanical components

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Preferred Qualifications

• Welding or fabrication experience

• Experience working in an industrial pump repair or rotating equipment shop

• Experience serving municipal, industrial, manufacturing, or power generation customers
