ALLIED HEALTH SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
OVERVIEW
Through a collaborative partnership with Miami Dade College, Mount Sinai Medical Center is committed to providing scholarship and employment opportunities for individuals interested in growing their profession. The ideal candidate considers having a true calling and commitment to making a meaningful impact in patients' lives.
This program provides 100% tuition assistance including books and school supplies through Miami Dade College Foundation. The scholars selected to receive the scholarship commit to completing their clinical rotations at Mount Sinai and remain continuously employed for a consecutive period of 24 months following their graduation/state licensure.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Be enrolled in an eligible program such as Respiratory Care, Radiologic Technology, or Medical Technology
• Maintain a full-time enrollment
• Maintain a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale)
• Have no didactic or clinical competency course failures
Within 90 days after graduation the below requirements must be obtained by the scholar, prior to employment with MSMC:
• Hold a passing score for the designated profession
• Hold State of Florida Licensure through the DOH, Division of Medical Quality Assurance.
APPLICATION PROCESS
• Complete application and submit along with most recent resume, acceptance letter and official transcripts.
• Eligible candidates will be interviewed by the scholarship program selection committee.
• Selected scholars will be notified prior to the start of their semester.
SCHOLARSHIP AWARD TIMELINE
• Application: May 18th - June 26th
• Interviews: June 29th - July 3rd
• Award: July 13th - July 17th
