JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
About the Program:
The Maintenance Manufacturing Leadership Program is a rotational program focused on maintenance and leadership training at an Owens Corning manufacturing plant. Participants will be mentored by experienced maintenance and engineering professionals to improve efficiency and develop manufacturing solutions. The program includes opportunities for leadership in a manufacturing environment.
Duration: The program spans 24 to 30 months.
Rotations: Participants engage in rotations across various areas:
  • Maintenance Planning (6 months): Focused on optimizing maintenance processes and scheduling.
  • Maintenance Leadership (6 months): Managing daily operations, overseeing maintenance activities and teams, gaining exposure to leading a department & long-term planning.
  • Reliability Engineering (6 months): Emphasizes improving equipment reliability and performance.
  • Capital Project Management (6 months): Provides exposure to managing projects related to plant infrastructure and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in preventative maintenance programs and procedures for plant equipment.
  • Investigate and resolve work in process problems.
  • Maintain production equipment to meet organizational standards and minimize downtime.
  • Focus on safety, automation, digitalization, strategic asset management, and data analytics.
  • Develop skills in safety leadership, project engineering, reliability processes, maintenance planning, and supervisory leadership.
  • Recommend and implement improvements for operations, equipment, and documentation.
  • Utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and Total Productive Maintenance methodologies.

Program Outcome: Upon completion, participants will be placed in a full-time assignment as a Maintenance Supervisor/Leader at a North American Owens Corning manufacturing plant.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Preferred bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or relevant major and/or field
  • Associates or Technical Certificate
  • Previous relevant internships/co-ops in a manufacturing setting
  • Demonstrated leadership in professional, service, or social organizations
  • Willingness and flexibility to relocate (assistance provided)
