PURPOSE:

Maintenance Technician III is a senior-level technician responsible for advanced troubleshooting, repair, and optimization of complex equipment and facility systems. This role serves as a technical leader within the maintenance department and may provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians.

Requirements

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead advanced troubleshooting and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated systems.
  • Perform predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Analyze equipment performance and recommend process or reliability improvements.
  • Install, calibrate, and maintain production equipment and facility systems.
  • Read and interpret advanced electrical schematics, PLC logic, and technical drawings.
  • Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and root cause analysis initiatives.
  • Train and mentor Maintenance Technician I and II employees.
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Assist with maintenance planning, scheduling, and inventory management.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent advanced training preferred.
  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, automation, motors, drives, hydraulics, and plumbing.
  • Experience with CMMS systems and advanced troubleshooting techniques.
  • Ability to lead projects and mentor team members.
