Climb high. Lead well. Encourage growth.

Serve as a key part of the Timber Challenge team, helping campers conquer the zipline, high ropes, climbing tower, archery, and more, all while keeping safety and spiritual impact at the center.


What You'll Do:
  • Facilitate high-adventure activities (Zipline, High Ropes, Tower, Archery)
  • Prioritize safety while encouraging confidence and teamwork
  • Assist in maintaining challenge course areas
  • Help campers and guests feel welcomed and supported
  • Show Christ's love through your actions and words
  • Participate in staff training and team meetings
  • Assist with camper arrival/departure on weekends
  • Participate in other camp activities as planned by the Recreation and Ministry Departments, as the schedule allows, mainly after dinner hours.
  • Flex into other roles and temporary assignments to other duties (including Cabin Leader) if needed

Requirements

Spiritual

  • Has excellent communication skills and the ability to teach or lead others.
  • Understands and exhibits behaviors and skills needed to function and be accountable in a team environment.

Positional

  • Is able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Capable of reaching and touching items at a height of 84" off the ground.
  • Comfortable or demonstrated capability to work at various heights with attached protective gear (55ft or lower) above the ground.
  • Individuals in these positions must maintain a weight below a maximum climber's weight of 265lbs.
  • Is able to physically traverse the multi-terrain campground in all seasons of the year; able to be on one's feet for long periods of time

Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at time of hire to be considered for this position.
