Job description

Job Title: Continuous Improvement Consultant (Operational Excellence)
Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Continuous Improvement Consultant to spearhead our operational excellence initiatives. In this role, you will act as a change agent, partnering with cross-functional teams to eliminate waste, enhance quality, drive productivity, and reduce operational costs across the enterprise.
This is a hands-on consulting and leadership role requiring deep expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies. You will lead high-impact improvement projects, facilitate problem-solving workshops, coach employees on continuous improvement principles, and track key performance indicators to ensure measurable business impact. Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Execution
• CI Initiative Delivery: Lead and facilitate complex continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma (DMAIC), Kaizen, and other optimization methodologies.
• Value Stream Analysis: Identify operational bottlenecks and process improvement opportunities through data analysis, performance metrics, and Value Stream Mapping (VSM).
• Workshop Facilitation: Design and facilitate Kaizen events, rapid improvement workshops, and structured problem-solving sessions.
Root Cause Analysis & Standardization
• Diagnostic Tools: Conduct rigorous root cause analysis utilizing tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone (Ishikawa) diagrams, Pareto analysis, and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
• Process Standardization: Standardize newly optimized workflows and establish governance protocols to guarantee long-term sustainability of implemented improvements.
• KPI Monitoring: Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)-including cycle time reduction, defect mitigation, throughput gains, and cost savings-reporting progress directly to leadership.
Coaching & Change Management
• Mentorship: Coach and mentor employees and department managers on Lean principles, problem-solving toolkits, and operational best practices.
• Change Leadership: Drive change management activities to encourage employee engagement, cross-functional collaboration, and a sustainable culture of operational excellence.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience Baseline: Minimum of 5 to 10 years of professional experience in Continuous Improvement, Process Excellence, or Operations.
• Technical Mastery:
oProven track record of leading cross-functional process improvement projects from inception to completion.
oAdvanced proficiency in data analysis and root cause problem-solving toolkits.
oStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel for data modeling and PowerPoint for executive presentations).
• Core Competencies: Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and workshop facilitation skills; strong leadership presence.
Preferred Attributes
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, business intelligence tools, and quality management standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
