Job Description:

It is the main responsibility of the In- Room Dining Server to provide high quality food and beverage service to the guests, while maintaining assigned floors, ensuring the guest have an enjoyable dining experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide prompt, friendly, courteous service to all food and beverage guests.
  • Deliver and serve food and beverages, amenities to guest's rooms as well as designated areas within the hotel and casino.
  • Monitors accuracy of the order and reviews the order with the guest to ensure guests received the proper order
  • Engage guests in conversation regarding their stay, property services, and area attractions
  • Speak to guests' and co-workers using clear, appropriate and professional language
  • Monitor guest room corridors for obstructions, service, safety, and well-being of guests.
  • Complete open and closing side duties during the shift
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the shift, practicing clean as you go procedures
  • Notify management of maintenance repair issues
  • Complete any additional reasonable requests by management

Physical Tasks

  • Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print).
  • Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
  • Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces.
  • Move up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Minimum six (6) months of related experience required
  • Must obtain and maintain valid licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming/Lottery regulations.
  • Drivers of company vehicles must have a valid driver's license and meet the requirements/standards listed on the Motor Vehicle Permit Application provided by Hard Rock.
  • Must successfully pass background check.
  • Must successfully pass drug screening.
  • Must have a friendly and outgoing personality.
  • Ability to work independently and willingness to learn.
  • Must be able to work at a rapid pace, while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Able to handle stress arising from management of operations and volume of work.
  • Must be twenty one (21) years of age or older.

SKILLS

  • Must possess strong communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays as required
  • Ability to be punctual and meet deadlines
  • Ability to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as a part of a team
  • Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in a professional office setting, but there may be times where you will need to be on the Casino Floor or pass through this area. On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, excessive noise.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to walk distances.
  • Ability to tolerate exposure to heat, cold, and loud/noisy environment.
