At Ventana Canyon, nestled in Tucson Santa Catalina foothills, the sun rises across our pristine 600-acre desert preserve with its flowering landscape, rolling hills, winding riverbeds, craggy canyons, and pine-topped peaks. The Ventana Canyon Golf & Racquet Club is a beautiful and secluded member-owned country club with 36 holes of championship golf and 50 guest suites, rated as one of America's top golf resorts.

The Room Attendant will deliver the uncompromising quality of service and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness to the Ventana Canyon Golf & Racquet Club members and guests through a coordinated teamwork approach.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Obtains a list of vacant rooms that need to be cleaned.
  • Prepare a housekeeping cart with the required supplies necessary to service the rooms (i.e., sheets, towels, robes, rugs, bathroom amenities, writing supplies, guest information, cleaning supplies, vacuum, etc.).
  • Clean all rooms as required by emptying trash, making beds, dusting furniture, washing windows, vacuuming, and cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, and outdoor patios.
  • Remove all room service dishes.
  • Reports items that are broken or need repair.
  • Provide courteous guest service.
  • Replenishes bathroom amenities, writing supplies, and guest information.
  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
  • Interact and communicate with guests and fellow employees in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Maintains flexibility to take on new and different tasks as directed by the Department Manager.
  • Attends staff meetings.

Education/Experience:

  • Prior housekeeping experience preferred.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Possess good verbal, written, and listening skills.
  • Required to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; to write simple correspondence.
  • Self-directed, energetic, and efficient.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Able to pass a background check.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to stand and walk on their feet for 95% of the shift.
  • Able to reach, bend, twist, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill tasks as required.
  • Must be able to climb stairs with vacuum cleaner.
  • Regularly lifts 25 pounds and occasionally lifts 50 pounds.
