Living arrangements can range from private rooms to shared staff housing, depending on the employer and location. It's important to clarify details such as privacy, access to facilities, meal types, and any rules about guests or curfews before accepting the offer. Job description

INTERNAL MEDICINE PHYSICIAN

Oak Street Medical Clinic | Praxis Health | Eugene, Oregon

University Town | Direct flights to major hubs | Between the Cascades and the Oregon Coast

Oak Street Medical Clinic is a well-established, physician-led outpatient practice in Eugene, Oregon, part of Praxis Health, the Pacific Northwest's leading independent healthcare network. This is a 100% outpatient Internal Medicine role with no hospital responsibilities: you focus entirely on building long-term relationships with a diverse adult patient panel, supported by experienced staff and strong specialist referral relationships, without the rounding burden that follows most IM physicians through their careers.

COMPENSATION

  • Year one guarantee: $270,000 (12-month base with practice ramp)
  • Established physician range: $270,000 - $380,000
  • Schedule: 4-day workweek, 36 patient hours per week
  • Call: Shared only, no hospital call requirements

PRACTICE DETAILS

  • You will step into a fully established outpatient panel with no hospital responsibilities. Oak Street operates as an independent, physician-led practice with strong administrative backing: you have the clinical autonomy of private practice without carrying it alone.
  • Panel: 100% outpatient, diverse adult patient population
  • Model: Physician-led and independent; not big-box healthcare
  • Referrals: Strong specialist network with established referral relationships
  • Visa sponsorship: Available, with immigration attorney access included

BENEFITS

  • Health, life, vision, and dental insurance
  • Malpractice insurance paid in full; tail coverage included
  • Oregon licensure covered; DEA certificate included
  • Retirement: 401K and Roth options
  • PTO and CME included
  • Sign-on bonus and loan repayment assistance available

ABOUT EUGENE, OREGON

Eugene sits between the Cascade Mountains and the Oregon Coast, with a regional airport offering direct flights to major hubs. It is a university city with the energy and amenities that come with that: a thriving food and arts scene, nationally recognized running trails along the Willamette River, craft breweries, local vineyards, and the University of Oregon's academic and athletic presence woven into everyday life.

Excellent schools, a progressive and community-minded population, and easy access to both ocean and mountain recreation make Eugene the kind of place physicians tend to stay. It is large enough to offer genuine urban culture and small enough that your work in the community is visible and valued.
