Job description

We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic Associate Roofing Sales Representatives to join our Indy Sales team. In this DOW-SkillBridge Program for enlisted military personnel only, you will learn about the roofing industry, assist in generating sales, and provide top-level customer service. This position is ideal for individuals with excellent communication skills, a willingness to learn, and an interest in the roofing industry.

You’ll learn our business model, company culture, and core values while building on your existing skills through structured, on-the-job training to support a smooth transition into a civilian career. Along the way you will job shadow and learn from our roofing, repairs, masonry, gutters & siding divisions those things that will help make you successful in this role.

This is great opportunity to hit the ground running in earning a good income with a huge ceiling upon your discharge from the military.

This position is open to: Enlisted United States military associates with 6 months or less of active duty at program start.

Program Requirements:
  • Program Length: 18 weeks
  • Location: On-Site, Indianapolis, Indiana
 
  • Program Criteria:
  • 180 days or fewer remaining on active duty at the time of program start
  • Approval from Chain of Command
  • Pay Grade E4 and above
 
  • Qualifications:
  • Self-motivated, creative, results-driven, solution-oriented, direct, and determined to succeed
  • Demonstrated leadership and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Team-oriented with strong collaboration skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficient in computer systems with strong organizational, strategic thinking, and time management skills
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
  • Exposure to high noise levels in the work environment
  • Ability to properly and repeatedly lift up to 50–100 lbs on a daily basis
  • Ability to climb a ladder to access roofs and attics to evaluate roofing needs
  • Ability to walk on sloped roofs of varying pitch and height
Key Responsibilities:
  • Learning & Development: Participate in training programs to gain in-depth knowledge of roofing systems and sales techniques.
  • Customer Engagement: Meet with potential clients to assess their roofing needs, present solutions, and explain the benefits of company products and services. Present to customers virtually on the status of their roofing system and provide detailed solutions and costs.
  • Site Assessments: Conduct initial inspections of roofing systems, including taking measurements and documenting necessary details.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay informed about the company's roofing products, installation processes, and industry trends to confidently answer client questions.
  • Sales Performance: Consistently meet or exceed individual and team sales goals while upholding the company’s standards of integrity and professionalism.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with sales managers and remain flexible to support offices in other geographic areas.

Additional Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be an enlisted United States military associate with 6 months or less of active duty at program start.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to learn technical information about roofing materials and installation processes.
