Join the Engineering Retail PlaCorms team and be a part of crafting innovations and processes for our non-food business! Get ready to roll up your sleeves and dive into the full software development cycle - from gathering requirements to designing, developing, to testing, and releasing daily. Furthermore, we use state-of-art technologies, so you'll never stop growing and improving your professional skills. • As a (Senior) Software Engineer in our Engineering Retail Pla;orms team, you and your team are responsible for building, running, enhancing, and maintaining our IT landscape designed to support the necessary business capabilities for managing and planning the non-food business. You'll be at the forefront of shaping rock-solid processes for the operational planning capability in this domain.

• Develop end-to-end microservices with a full technology stack (frontend, backend, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD), write clean and high-quality code daily.

• Ensure AI is a first-class citizen within the services and make it also a booster for your engineering actvities by using agentic coding.

• Learn from our excellent AI communities and use a broad variety of cutting edge LLM and AI tools to push your team to reach the highest standards and by this also contribute to you personal growth.

• Ensure a high standard of quality by doing code reviews, pair programming, TDD, instant feedback loops while using and enhancing best practices (e.g. code style guidelines, testing, security, performance, and resilience).

• Work and learn together with experienced software engineers from other development teams.

During each iteration, you will have dedicated creative time to work on projects you are interested in.

Your profile: You keep discovering with us.

• You have a successfully completed degree in computer science/information systems or have a comparable qualification.

• You have at least four years professional experience in software development and bring a passion for new technologies.

• You are a true team player and are keen to play a role in cross-functional teams, always working together in an agile way (Scrum/Kanban).

Minimum qualifications:

• You have in-depth knowledge of a JVM language (e.g. Kotlin or Java) and at least one additional modern programming language (e.g. JavaScript or TypeScript).

• You are familiar with various concepts of software development and can successfully introduce and implement them in the environment of potentially large applications.

• You have seen architectural constructs like microservices, serverless functions and frontend monoliths before and know the implications.

• You are hands-on with Git, DevOps, Terraform, dockerized containers, and automation (CI/CD).

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in developing applications with Vue.js / Nuxt3, Kotlin and Spring Boot is a plus as well as knowing how to apply AI in an engineering context.

• Knowing how to utilize the Google Cloud Platform or other hyper scalers for a microservice architecture.

• Strong foundations in software design paberns and a software architecture qualification (e.g. iSAQB) rounds up your profile.

• Confident in writing and speaking in English.
