Job description

Position Overview

The Sales Applications Engineer will be a key driving force behind the growth of silicon carbide (SiC) ultrafiltration technology in the Municipal Drinking Water Market. The Sales Application Engineer will own the sales strategy in their territory, focusing on growing relationships with key clients.

An effective and productive Sales Engineer will work closely with Ovivo's external Sales Reps, utilities/municipalities, and design engineers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Application Engineering, with experience in water & wastewater treatment technologies.

All the water we have is all the water we will have. The successful candidate for this role will have the opportunity to have a significant impact in solving today's most pressing water issues. We are looking for new team members who share our vision for sustainability and shaping the next generation of water & wastewater treatment technologies. This role is remote, and requires up to 40% travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Territory Management: Develop and execute sales strategies specific to the territory. Work closely with Sales Reps to identify key projects that fit overall company strategy.
  • Sales Development: Develop and grow the territory to reliably meet annual sales goals by delivering unique solutions that address specific market needs.
  • Pilot Testing:ย Oversee pilot studies to ensure customer expectations are met, putting the team in a position to win municipal capital equipment projects. Provide process support to pilots and travel to site for pilot troubleshooting may be required at times
  • Customer Development: Travel within the assigned territory with our independent manufacturer's representatives to establish and develop relationships with utilities, plant operators, and design engineers.
  • Deliver Winning Solutions: Work with the process engineering team to develop winning solutions & system designs that exceed our customer's expectations. See projects through from initial inquiry to final bid, handing the project off to our Project Execution Team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Civil/Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 2-5 Years' experience in water/wastewater equipment sales or engineering, minimum.
  • Experience in municipal water & wastewater treatment sales and process design
  • Experience with drinking water & wastewater treatment, specifically MF/UF membrane systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of basic water treatment principles such as coagulation, sedimentation, and filtration is also a plus.
  • Outstanding communication skills including the ability to professionally represent the
