Job Description

The Roll-Off Driver is responsible for delivering, placing, and removing roll-off containers at customer sites. This role requires advanced driving skills, strong situational awareness, and the ability to operate in tight and complex environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate strong vehicle control, including backing, turning, and maneuvering in tight or congested environments.
  • Comply with all applicable DOT, OSHA, and company safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform and document pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
  • Execute precise backing and placement maneuvers in confined and high-traffic environments.
  • Report all safety concerns, incidents, or mechanical issues immediately.
  • Deliver and remove roll-off containers at commercial, industrial, and construction sites.
  • Accurately position containers in tight or restricted environments, including construction sites and confined spaces, while avoiding property damage.
  • Ensure loads are secured properly before transport.
  • Communicate with customers regarding container placement and service expectations.
  • Complete routes safely, on time, and in accordance with service and productivity expectations.
  • Adjust to changing route demands and service requests.
  • Transport waste to disposal or recycling facilities.
  • Follow all procedures for safe loading, unloading, and disposal.
  • Complete required manifests and documentation.
  • Maintain clean and operational equipment.
  • Ensure customer sites are left in safe and acceptable condition.
  • Complete DVIRs, service tickets, and logs accurately.
  • Maintain communication with dispatch and operations.
  • Drivers are responsible for safe operation.
  • The Safety Department provides training and oversight. Drivers must consistently follow all safety protocols and procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements

Container Delivery & Placement

Documentation & Communication

  • Complete DVIRs, service tickets, and logs accurately

Safety & Compliance Expectations

  • Drivers are responsible for safe operation.
  • The Safety Department provides training and oversight. Drivers must consistently follow all safety protocols and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid Class A or B CDL with air brake endorsement
  • Valid DOT medical certification
  • Ability to safely operate heavy equipment in complex environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year CDL experience
  • Experience with roll-off or heavy equipment
  • Experience in construction or industrial environments

Physical Requirements

  • Climbing, securing loads, and equipment handling
  • Outdoor work in all weather conditions

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Full-time, early morning start
  • Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays
  • Work performed at construction sites, commercial locations, and roadways
