Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking a mechanically skilled and dependable Maintenance Mechanic to support our roll-forming manufacturing operation. This is a hands-on position responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment.

Industrial maintenance experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with automotive, equipment repair, fabrication, or other strong mechanical backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Training will be provided on our roll-forming lines and production equipment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair roll-forming lines, presses, uncoilers, straighteners, feeders, conveyors, cranes, forklifts, and other production equipment.
  • Perform mechanical repairs involving bearings, shafts, chains, belts, gearboxes, motors, couplings, cylinders, and material-handling components.
  • Assist with hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical repairs.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and component replacement.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, welders, measuring tools, and basic diagnostic equipment.
  • Assist with equipment installations, modifications, fabrication, and improvement projects.
  • Respond to production breakdowns and work with operators and other maintenance personnel to safely return equipment to operation.
  • Document completed repairs, parts used, and additional work needed.
  • Follow all safety and lockout/tagout procedures.

Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical skills and interest in learning industrial equipment.
  • Experience as an automotive mechanic, equipment mechanic, maintenance technician, fabricator, or similar mechanical position is acceptable.
  • Ability to safely use common hand and power tools.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems and troubleshooting.
  • Welding, fabrication, hydraulic, pneumatic, or electrical experience is helpful but not required.
  • Ability to read basic diagrams, equipment manuals, and measuring tools.
  • Dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to learn.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
  • Available for overtime or weekend work when required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work around industrial machinery.
  • Ability to lift and handle machine components within established safety limits.
  • Ability to work in an active manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate does not need to know everything on the first day. We are looking for someone with good mechanical skills, strong troubleshooting ability, a willingness to learn, and the motivation to grow into a skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic.
