Description
JAC Products has an opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join our team in Lagrange, GA. In this position, you will be responsible for continuous improvement, quality systems and process controls throughout the Business Unit. Also, you will be responsible for implementation of corporate and plant quality procedures into their business unit, and assure team members are trained and adhering to the quality procedures.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
  • Advanced technical knowledge of relevant manufacturing processes such as: Assembly, extrusion, fabrication, metal roll-forming, etc.
  • Strong understanding of statistical process control and how to use data to drive decisions.
  • Advanced knowledge of OEM such as Subaru, Toyota or Honda quality standards, systems, and processes.
  • Successful Product Launch / Production Start-up experience including all documentation, testing, data collection, and reporting.
  • Experience leading the PPAP process to successful conclusion.
  • Advanced knowledge and practical application of Problem Solving / Process Improvement analysis, tools, and techniques.
  • Strong root cause analysis background such as 8D, 5Why, Fishbone, or Ishikawa.
  • Advanced computer skills, including P.C. knowledge and current technology software familiarity.
  • Provide guidance and support to Quality Engineers.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or the equivalent/relevant experience preferred
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent is preferred
  • Manufacturing Assembly experience preferred
  • Six Sigma Black Belt preferred
  • Three (3) or more years' experience in a relevant engineering discipline within a manufacturing environment
  • Five (5) to eight (8) years in a quality focused engineering role preferred
