Description:

The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing product quality across manufacturing and field operations. This role monitors in-process and pre-shipment quality, manages field-reported concerns, drives root cause analysis, and implements corrective actions to improve product quality, customer satisfaction, and operational performance.


Responsibilities

  • Monitor and evaluate product quality throughout manufacturing and prior to shipment.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality standards, specifications, and procedures.
  • Partner with production teams to identify defects and implement corrective actions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for field-reported quality concerns.
  • Investigate quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate resolutions.
  • Monitor shipping-related issues, including short shipments, mis-shipments, and damaged goods.
  • Partner with warehouse, logistics, and operations teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret quality, service, and shipping performance data.
  • Maintain quality reporting dashboards and performance metrics.
  • Lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) initiatives.
  • Identify trends and implement continuous improvement projects.
  • Support the development and maintenance of quality standards, processes, and procedures.
Requirements:
  • 3–5+ years of experience in quality, manufacturing, operations, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in metal manufacturing, metal fabrication, roll forming, construction materials, or building products industries preferred.
  • Experience working with manufacturing equipment, production machinery, and quality control processes.
  • Strong experience with root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Familiarity with shipping, warehouse, and logistics processes preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
  • Experience with ERP systems preferred.
  • Continuous improvement experience preferred.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement process improvements.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and project management skills.
