TITLE: Roll-Off Driver

DEPARTMENT: Operations

REPORTS TO: Roll-Off Supervisor

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

Position Summary:

The Roll-Off Driver, under direction of the Roll-Off Supervisor, distributes, collects, and empties company issued commercial waste receptacles for new, current, and former Tiger Sanitation customers.


Essential Functions:

  • Performs and documents pre-trip and post-trip inspections of company issued vehicles
  • Collects and distributes commercial waste receptacles as indicated on daily route sheet
  • Actively communicates any and all changes to daily route sheet to the dispatch team
  • Notifies supervisor of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage that may occur while completing activities on route
  • Reviews and completes daily work orders
  • Ensures accurate completion of route sheet and VCR by the end of each day
  • Ability to proficiently navigate, in forward and reverse motion, driveways, alleyways, empty lots, high traffic roadways with potential limited overhead and compact areas.
  • Ability to operate vehicles in accordance with OSHA (Occupational and Safety Health Act) and DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements as well as all local, state and federal laws
  • Proficient in operating a vehicle with a manual transmission
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements

  • Ability to safely operate a DOT vehicle
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance
  • Ability to proficiently operate a DOT vehicle in a reverse motion
  • Ability to convey Tiger Sanitation as the obvious choice for our customers, employees and community
  • Actively demonstrates Tiger Sanitation's core values in daily tasks and communications: Professionalism, Respect, Accountability and Communication

Education and Experience

  • Possess a valid Class A or B Driver's License
  • 2 years of professional commercial Roll- Off driving experience.


Working Conditions

This position will be based in an outdoor environment, exposed to the elements, with extended periods of standing, sitting, squatting, climbing, reaching, and lifting.

Driver Sign on Bonus

Drivers who are hired from March 26, 2026, through September 26, 2026, who meet the qualifications listed below, will be eligible for a $3,000.00 sign on bonus.


Driver Sign on Bonus Qualifications:

- Must be hired as a Rolloff or Commercial Frontload Driver.

- Must have minimum 2 years verified experience in the role they were hired for. EX: A Commercial Front Load/Roll-Off driver must have minimum 2 years of previous experience operating a Commercial Front Load/Roll-Off Driver, in the waste/recycle industry.

- Must not receive any disciplinary action during the bonus pay out period.

- Driver will be eligible for a sign on bonus or referral bonus, not both. Employees who refer a qualified applicant who qualifies for the sign on bonus, will be eligible for a referral bonus but the employee must be listed on the application under "Referred By".

- Rehires do not qualify for sign on bonus.
