The Foundry Mission:The Foundry Ministries exists to restore hope and rebuild lives through Christ-centered recovery.The Foundry Vision:Permanently transformed lives through Christ-centered ministries.Dormitory Supervisor, Position Summary:The full-time Dormitory Supervisor manages program participants in the men's dormitories at The Foundry Farm in Cullman, Alabama. The Supervisor will be required to live on campus and to work Saturdays and Sundays as scheduled.The Supervisor must hold to the mission, vision, and core values of The Foundry. The Supervisor must be willing to sign The Foundry's Statement of Faith. The Supervisor reports directly to the Director of The Foundry Farm and is responsible for upholding the policies set forth by the Board of Directors. The Supervisor's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the duties defined in this responsibility description.Responsibility Description Safety, Security, and Visitation:· Sets and turns off facility alarm(s) as scheduled.· Serves as contact for after-hours calls, including communications with the alarm company, family members of program participants, and staff.· Coordinates with men's program staff to facilitate safety training, including severe weather, fire, hostile intruders, and the use of Narcan.· Reports all onsite medical emergencies to the Director.· Monitors facility during Sunday visitation; ensures visitors have received visitation guidelines; distributes name tags; and maintains the sign-in log.Transportation:· Schedules and requests transportation after hours and on weekends.· Secures vehicles, keys, and gas cards; maintains transportation logs as scheduled.Daily Tasks:· Complies with and oversees dormitory guidelines.· Regularly meets with the Director to discuss the new program participant list, exits (voluntary or involuntary), bed assignments, and other issues as needed.· Conducts daily wake-up and morning chores for all program participants.· Ensures the dormitory is "tour-ready" before roll call.· Responsible for distributing medicine as scheduled; organizing the medication closet.· Checks beds nightly and records program participant count.· Performs random dormitory searches, including all other program participants' areas· Serves as liaison between program staff and program participants by communicating special announcements, program guideline updates, and upcoming events; posts information on dormitory bulletin boards.· Collaborates with the Program Manager on welcoming new program participants, including luggage/bag searches, and escorting program participants to their assigned room.· Offers support to program staff in guiding transients and other visitors seeking assistance.· Collects and records drug screen fees as needed.· Conducts drug screens as requested, including random and scheduled.· Reports all maintenance issues and supply requests to the Director or the Program Manager.· Collaborates with staff on the new program participant welcome process.· Coordinates mail distribution with program staff.Dorm Leaders:· Assists the Director with the selection and training of Dorm Leaders; introduces Dorm Leaders to program participants.· Schedules and monitors Dorm Leader chore lists.· Meets weekly with Dorm Leaders to communicate program updates and address concerns.· Collaborates with Dorm Leaders to monitor phone use.Drug Screens:· Responsible for administering drug screens as scheduled on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.· Collects drug screen fees and documents monies owed as scheduled on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.Qualifications and Requirements:Education: · High School Diploma, High School Equivalency Certificate, or GED.Experience: · Supervisory and management experience Requirements:Must be insurable based on the MVR report.· Proficiency with Microsoft Office or MAC applications; ability to learn and use program management software.· Strong interpersonal skills.· Proven ability to resolve issues calmly and efficiently.· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.· Comfortable presenting information in person or via various communication channels (telephone, email, social media).· Servant leader.· Quick learner and enjoys the challenge of taking on new assignments.· Willingness to be a team player.
