Job description

As Senior Product Owner on the Marketing Technology team, you'll be a transformation catalyst who combines deep product ownership expertise with an AI-forward mindset to reimagine how we work at enterprise scale. You'll guide product backlogs across multiple business areas while pioneering the use of AI agents, automation, and intelligent workflows that drive efficiency, clarity, and innovation across our organization.
You'll be both a pragmatic executor and a bold innovator-someone who can manage stakeholder priorities, ship results, and design and deploy AI-enabled workflows that transform how teams collaborate. Your work will span from tactical backlog management to strategic enterprise initiatives, bringing clarity to ambiguous spaces and building relationships across the organization to drive consistency and excellence for all stakeholders.
About the role
  • Lead product ownership for a portfolio of business areas across Rocket, including transactional and promotional marketing initiatives and enterprise-wide capabilities
  • Own, prioritize, and maintain a healthy backlog in Azure DevOps, translating business needs into actionable work items with clear acceptance criteria
  • Design, build, and deploy AI agents using modern LLM platforms (Claude, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.) to enhance workflow efficiency
  • Drive transformation of internal workflows including intake processes, communication channels, and collaboration patterns to eliminate friction and improve clarity
  • Leverage experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) and AI integration protocols to identify opportunities for intelligent automation and agentic workflows
  • Partner with engineering teams, stakeholders, and cross-functional leaders to define requirements, manage dependencies, and deliver innovative solutions
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships across a complex, multi-brand stakeholder ecosystem, navigating competing priorities with strategic thinking and clear communication
  • Serve as an AI adoption champion and mentor to peer Product Owners and team members, sharing expertise on workflow optimization, stakeholder engagement, and emerging AI capabilities
  • Evaluate and implement improvements to team operations including work intake flows, ensuring the team operates with efficiency and stakeholder-centricity
  • Stay deeply connected to the rapidly evolving AI landscape, bringing innovation and forward-thinking solutions to complex enterprise challenges
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies, refine backlogs collaboratively with engineering teams, and ensure continuous delivery of business value
  • Navigate ambiguity with confidence, bringing structure and clarity to undefined problems while embracing fast-paced change

About you
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience analyzing, designing, and changing business processes with measurable impact
  • 4+ years of experience in product ownership or similar roles defining and prioritizing technical requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent expertise in information technology, business management, marketing, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience building and deploying AI agents using modern LLM platforms (Claude, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.) for team or organizational workflow improvement
  • Proven ability to deliver results and drive workflow efficiency at enterprise scale, managing complex stakeholder ecosystems
  • Expertise writing quality work items with testable acceptance criteria and clear value propositions
  • Strong background in backlog management, prioritization frameworks, and Agile methodologies
  • Proven ability to navigate competing stakeholder priorities, facilitate trade-off discussions, and build consensus across business, technical, and leadership teams
  • Experience using data and analytics to drive prioritization decisions and measure outcomes
  • Experience supporting software products and speaking confidently to underlying technologies
  • Deep familiarity with current and emerging AI technologies, automation tools, and workflow optimization strategies
  • Proficiency with Azure DevOps, Monday.com, Slack and other collaborative tools
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapt quickly to change, and embrace ambiguity

Preferred Qualifications
  • 7+ years of product ownership or product management experience in complex enterprise environments
  • Certification in Agile practices (Certified Scrum Product Owner, SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager, or similar)
  • Experience working with Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and AI integration architectures
  • Experience managing products or initiatives across multi-brand organizations
  • Proven track record of mentoring Product Owners or team members in AI adoption and best practices
  • History of leading process transformation initiatives such as intake redesign or workflow optimization
  • Deep understanding of omnichannel customer journeys or marketing automation workflows and marketing technology tools like Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Demonstrated experience implementing enterprise-wide efficiency improvements that scale across teams
  • Passion for using AI to reimagine work-asking "Can this workflow disappear?" rather than "How do we automate this task?"
  • Track record of building cross-organizational relationships and driving consistency across teams
  • Background in Financial Services or other large highly regulated industries
