The Business Development Leader, Forensic Services is responsible for overseeing the business leadership of the AccuWeather Forensic Unit including accelerating revenue and profitability growth, owning all sales activity, and being directly accountable for achieving and exceeding defined sales targets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Own and lead all sales activity for the Forensic Services business, with direct accountability for achieving defined revenue targets and growth objectives
  • Develop business strategy for the Forensics business division, continuously implement new ideas to drive increased revenue and profitability
  • Own and drive Forensic net new revenue against defined sales goals
  • Demonstrate the value of AccuWeather's forensic capabilities to prospects, customers, and business partners
  • Conduct lunch and learn meetings with law firms and engineering firms to promote AccuWeather's Forensics offerings
  • Partner with the forensic operations team to improve efficiency of department operations and drive increased profitability
  • Evaluate and prioritize new product development in order to unlock new revenue streams.
  • Forecast, manage, and deliver against monthly and annual sales targets
  • Ensure client satisfaction and develop processes to generate increased business from previous customers
  • Coordinate with Marketing and PR teams to drive awareness of Forensic services leading to increased numbers of qualified leads and ultimately greater revenue
  • Accountable for overall sales performance, pipeline health, and conversion across all Forensic Services offerings
  • Accelerate qualified leads from referral partners
  • Explore new channel partnerships to accelerate revenue growth
  • Catalog customers, opportunities and completed sales within AccuWeather's CRM
  • Coordinate with AFB Business Operations Team and Contracts team to ensure rapid negotiation of contracts involving the forensics group
  • Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in forensics, which may include meteorology, engineering, or science
  • At least 5 years of experience in business development and leadership in forensic services, weather or otherwise
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas and driving measurable revenue growth
  • An extensive network of lawyers and engineering firms that you've served previously
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and supervise co-workers and daily tasks
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong entrepreneurial skills and desire to continuously drive positive business acceleration
  • Demonstrated ability to work quickly, efficiently, and accurately
  • Experience utilizing AI in daily workflows to demonstrate efficiency gains
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
