Job Summary:

 We are seeking a board-certified Urologist with a strong surgical background to join a collaborative team in partnership with HCA Florida Memorial Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician who thrives in a procedure-heavy environment and values advanced surgical care. The position is also responsible for coordinating and responding to medical emergencies and/or triage situations.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Perform urologic surgeries and procedures in the outpatient and inpatient operating room setting.
  • Evaluate and treat patients in an outpatient and inpatient surgical practice.
  • Educate patients regarding procedures, risks, and recovery.
  • Coordinate urgent consults and triage situations as needed.

Qualified Candidates:

  • Medical school diploma and successful completion of an accredited internship and urology residency program.
  • Current, unrestricted Florida medical license.
  •  Completion of accredited urology residency program (current residents encouraged to apply)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients and families.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with OR teams and multidisciplinary medical staff.
  • Willingness to maintain a flexible schedule and participate in call coverage as needed.

Preferred:

  • 2+ years of experience as a urologist in a surgical practice.
  • A strong background in high-volume OR, procedural, and robotic surgical performance, along with an interest in helping build and grow a busy surgical practice.
  • Comfortable managing post-operative patient recovery in an outpatient, inpatient, or hospital-based settings.
  • Familiarity with practice-specific workflows and facility-based safety protocols.
