Build the Next Chapter of Thoracic Surgical Oncology

Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Thoracic Surgeon to join our growing Section of Thoracic Surgery in Jacksonville, Florida.

This is an outstanding opportunity to become part of the Southeast patient care hub for the MD Anderson Cancer Network , practicing within a mature multidisciplinary cancer program dedicated to exceptional patient outcomes, innovation, and clinical excellence.

We're seeking surgeons with expertise in general thoracic surgery and thoracic surgical oncology, including the treatment of lung, esophageal, mediastinal, and chest wall diseases. Candidates should have experience with minimally invasive and robotic thoracic surgery and a passion for multidisciplinary cancer care.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking surgeons who are committed to delivering exceptional cancer care while contributing to the continued growth of one of the Southeast's leading oncology programs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Building a thriving thoracic surgical oncology practice
  • Providing comprehensive care for patients with benign and malignant thoracic disease
  • Collaborating within a multidisciplinary cancer team
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives
  • Supporting research, education, and program development
  • Strengthening relationships with regional referring physicians
Qualifications
  • MD or DO
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Thoracic Surgery training program
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible through the American Board of Thoracic Surgery
  • Experience with minimally invasive and robotic thoracic surgery
  • Eligible for an unrestricted Florida medical license
