Stinger focuses primarily on the Southwestern Bridge and Highway market, specializing in bridge projects. Stinger fabricates in its Coolidge, Arizona facility located south of the Phoenix/Chandler/Gilbert area and erects work in Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas and Colorado. POSITION SCOPE

The Robotics Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting a large integrated robotic manufacturing system consisting of robotic painting systems, & robotic welding systems. The technician will work closely with operators, maintenance personnel, and engineering teams to ensure safe operation, maximum uptime, and consistent production quality. This role supports industrial robots from Reis and Lesta as well as the automation systems that coordinate the robotic manufacturing process.

PRIMARY DUTIES

ยท Troubleshoot robotic system faults and production interruptions

ยท Support robot recovery procedures and restart production after faults

ยท Perform minor robot program adjustments and touch-ups when required

ยท Assist with PLC and robot communication troubleshooting

ยท Perform preventative maintenance on robots, tooling, sensors, and automation equipment

ยท Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability

ยท Support operators during changeovers and production issues

ยท Maintain backup copies of robot programs and system configurations

ยท Assist with system commissioning, testing, and process improvements

ยท Work with integrator support teams when advanced troubleshooting is required

REQUIREMENTS

ยท High school diploma or equivalent

ยท Technical training or associate degree in automation, robotics, electrical, or mechanical technology preferred

ยท 2โ€“5 years of experience working with industrial automation or robotics

ยท Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills

ยท Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings

ยท Basic understanding of PLC-controlled systems

ยท Strong safety awareness and ability to follow lockout/tagout procedures
