Position Summary:

The welder is responsible for joining, fabricating, and repairing metal components and structures using a variety of welding techniques.


Shift:

Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm but hours could vary.


Essential Job Duties:

  • Knowledge and use of 5 and 6 axis welding robots (coordinated motion is a plus)
  • Familiarity with use of multiple GMAW profiles
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to correctly fixture and locate parts for robotic welding.
  • Operates machines to weld components together.
  • Inspects parts according to blueprints.
  • Use of calipers, micrometers, measuring fixtures and gauges.
  • Maintains expected production rate numbers.
  • Perform changeovers and hand weld repairs as needed
  • Perform welding material changeovers and general fixture maintenance and repair.
  • Ability to locate and run job programs. Make program changes as needed.
  • Ability to troubleshoot robotic welding cells including I/O logic as well as identify most likely points of failure.
  • Responsible for working in accordance with our documented Quality System and for ensuring that products and services meet the customer's specified requirements
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area using the 5S process, and follows all safety policies and procedures
  • May be required by management to perform other reasonable work-related tasks
  • May be required to work different shifts, hours, overtime and weekends if needed


Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years welding experience preferred
  • 1-3 years experience in robotic welding and setup preferred
  • AWS certification preferred but not mandatory
