Job description

Morbark LLC located in Winn, Michigan is looking for a Robot Operator. Morbark LLC offers competitive compensation and a variety of benefits including:

Job summary:
The robotic weld technician position is to run the robotic weld cells in the day to day operations to their maximum capacity. Keeps parts loaded, touch up, and ensure the robots are making quality parts. Work with the robotic programmer to ensure programs are running smoothly and efficiently.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Load and unload assemblies into robot. Ensuring assemblies are located in the proper locations and the assemblies are correctly built.
  • Robot maintenance. Daily cleaning, wiping down robots and sweeping out robot cells.
  • Consumable usage. Changing out the consumables as need and ensuring the no more consumables are being consumed than need be.
  • Quality assurance. Ensure that the assemblies being welded are built properly and welds meet Morbark standards. Work hand in hand with robotic programmers to make program changes as needed.
  • Robot fault troubleshooting. Be able to get robots back up and running when faulted out by basic faults.
  • Work safely. Ensure that you and others around the robots are out of harm's way, before starting and while robots are running.

Education and Experience:
  • 1-3 years welding experience. GMAW preferred.
  • Basic welding knowledge. Know the difference between a good weld and a bad weld. Be able to identify what is wrong with a weld and inform programmers what needs to be changed.
  • Basic computer skills. Be able to navigate Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Be able to use a computer to look up drawing and prints.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds from ground level to chest level.
  • Unimpaired speech, hearing and sight
  • Postural changes such as sitting, reaching, climbing, standing, walking and lifting intermittently.
  • Standing and walking on cement.
  • Be on feet for long periods of time.
  • Work in a fast paced environment and be able to keep up.
