Job description

The ERP Technical Consultant is responsible for providing comprehensive technical support and troubleshooting expertise for issues related to Oracle Fusion. This role demands proficiency in various Oracle Fusion and ERP technical areas and involves close collaboration with functional teams and stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and maintenance of Oracle ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Provide dedicated support for Oracle Fusion, addressing and resolving technical issues to maintain system reliability and performance.
  • Report Development: Demonstrate strong knowledge in developing BIP (BI Publisher) reports, OTBI (Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence) reports, and configuring ESS (Enterprise Scheduler Service) jobs. Customize and personalize reports as required, including bank report development and designing templates using RTF, Excel, e-text, and XSL.
  • Security and Access Configuration: Handle configuration of user names, roles, and privileges to ensure appropriate access controls within the Oracle Fusion applications.
  • Fusion Module Expertise: Possess in-depth technical knowledge across Oracle Fusion modules such as procurement, supply chain, financials, and general ledger, ensuring robust support and customisation as per business needs.
  • Data Loading and Integration: Execute data loading activities for items, purchase orders (PO), purchase requisitions (PR), suppliers, receipts, accounts payable (AP) invoices, payments, accounts receivable (AR) invoices, receipts, journal imports, and customer imports using FBDI, REST, and SOAP services.
  • Customization and Development: Design and develop custom solutions using Oracle Forms, Reports, PL/SQL, Workflow, and Oracle Application Framework (OAF). Implement RICE components, including reports, interfaces, conversions, and extensions.
  • ERP Module Customization: Customize Oracle ERP modulesโ€”such as Financials, SCM, HRMS, and Procurementโ€”tailored to specific business requirements.
  • Integration with Third-Party Systems: Develop and support integrations between Oracle ERP and third-party systems utilizing APIs and web services.
  • Data Migration and Conversion: Manage strategies for data migration and conversion during ERP upgrades or new implementations, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize ERP performance by tuning PL/SQL queries and scheduling processes for efficient system operation.
  • System Stability and Security: Ensure the stability, scalability, and compliance of ERP systems with security standards.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including Technical Design Documents (TDD) and Functional Design Documents (FDD).
  • Collaboration: Work closely with functional consultants, project managers, and stakeholders to deliver seamless ERP solutions.
  • Cloud Transition Expertise: Provide specialized knowledge and support for organizations transitioning from Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) to Oracle Fusion Cloud.
