Programs and maintains robotic cells by assisting in all phases of robotic design, development, production, testing, and operations.Role and Responsibilities
  • Provide input for fixture design on new and existing programs.
  • Assist with the sourcing of equipment, parts, supplies, and technical support
  • Develop and maintains layout of work cells
  • Establish production/process standards
  • Establish and monitor maintenance schedules
  • Write and update specific work instructions for Robotic cells.
  • Train personal on equipment and processes.
  • Maintain robots, mechanical or electronic equipment, and PLC's.
  • Analyze robotic problems and help with root cause analysis and corrective measures
  • Provide feedback for long-term machine use/efficiency
  • Identify and implement process improvements and modifications to ensure the greatest efficiency in the manufacturing environment with safety and productivity a priority
  • Safely use forklifts and other equipment needed for job task.

Observe all safety requirements and maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition

Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical experience required
  • Minimum of 2 years' mechanical experience
  • Experience in electronics (including PLC's) required
  • Experience in Mechanical, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Reading blueprints/schematics required
  • Exposure to/experience with CAD programs preferred
  • Experience in the plastics industry preferred
  • Experience using a forklift preferred
  • Must obtain and maintain a valid forklift license to hold position
  • All required WilbertU Courses based on job title
Preferred Skills
  • Above average math skills
  • Above average proficiency in office systems software - word processing, spreadsheets
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate information to other employees and other departments
  • Able to work well with others with minimal supervision
  • Strong problem-solving skills including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
