Description:

Job Title: Robot/Router Cell Technician

Exempt or Non-Exempt: Onsite Non-Exempt

Reports To: Fanuc Robot/Router Cell Supervisor

Direct Reports: None

Vacancy: 3rd shift from 9:30pm to 6am, Monday through Friday at Reyes Applewhite location


Job Summary

This position is responsible for the preventive and proactive maintenance of multi-axis robot manufacturing equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure the continuous operations of our plants with the highest Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).


Main Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)

  • Modify 6-axis robot programs as needed to maintain quality of parts being produced.
  • Responsible for the quality of the parts being produced from the router cell.
  • Perform routine maintenance on the router cells.
  • Perform minor repairs on pneumatic, electrical and safety systems.
  • Install and properly adjust electrical sensors.
  • Disassemble and reassemble spindles for repairs and PM functions.
  • Responsible for the repairs of fiberglass nests to make sure they are production capable.
  • Additional responsibilities may be added.

Requirements:

Education:

Highschool Diploma or equivalent. Advanced technical training a plus


Experience:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience with automated industrial equipment in fast paced manufacturing environments. Automotive industry preferred. Previous experience with programing multi axis robots would be beneficial.


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

N/A


Computer Skills:

Intermediate proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and in the use of e-mail, web browser applications.

Working knowledge of maintenance software


Mathematical Abilities:

Intermediate-advanced math skills.


Analytical or Reasoning Abilities:

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a positive attitude and ability to make proper decisions.
  • Strong analytical, planning skills and critical thinking ability required with orientation for continuous improvement.
  • Ability to understand and follow written technical procedures/instructions.
  • Ability to effectively read and interpret technical documentation such as manuals, procedures, etc.


Communication Skills: (Writing, Foreign Language, Reasoning)

Ability to read, write and speak English.

Highly effective, articulate communication skills (verbal & written) with strong interpersonal effectiveness and the ability to work with all employee levels in the organization,

Bilingual English-Spanish preferred


Other Skills (Technical, or Other special knowledge and abilities)

  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to effectively manage a variety of projects and tasks.
  • Take initiative, approach others in a positive and constructive manner, and work well independently to achieve results.


Physical Requirements:

  • 100% will be spent on the production floor completing work related to the position.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds individually and team lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to perform this job safely in accordance with standard operating procedures without endangering the health or safety of self or others. Must wear all personal protective equipment where required.
