Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:


The Robotic Welder Programmer programs a Miller system with a Panasonic brand robot to weld pipe assemblies to meet customer specifications and production goals. Must have experience in Miller System.


QUALIFICATIONS: Pay is based on your experience - A test will be done at time of interview


โ€ข Ability to perform essential duties.

โ€ข Degree in Mechanical/Robotics Engineering or equivalent experience.

โ€ข Minimum of two years in robotics and Mig welding applications.

โ€ข Experience with Fanuc, Copilot or Panda Suite Software.

โ€ข Successful completion of an internal welding test.

โ€ข Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

โ€ข Programming & Setup: Develops, tests, and implement robot programs for welding using a hand-held robotic welder teach pendant at the cell with Panda Suite software.

โ€ข Optimization: Adjusts welding parameters (speed, voltage, wire feed) to maximize weld quality, consistency, and cycle times.

โ€ข Engineering Collaboration: Coordinates front-end reach reviews, manages robot downloads, and assists with system integration and troubleshooting.

โ€ข Documentation: Creates setup sheets, procedures, and technical documentation for robotic applications. Updates computer records and paperwork in accordance with production requirements.

โ€ข Quality Control: Inspect finished parts for adherence to blueprints, welding symbols, and customer specifications.

โ€ข Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance on robotic cells and maintain records of programs and changes.

โ€ข Technical Support: Diagnose and resolve minor robot, fixture, or weld quality issues during production, such as sensor errors and wire feed issues.

โ€ข Mig Skills: Must be experienced in Mig welding to touch up welds as needed.

โ€ข Safety Adherence: Strictly follow safety protocols, including wearing proper PPE (welding helmet, safety glasses and gloves), ensuring light curtains/safety gates are functioning, and reporting near-misses.

โ€ข Communication: Must have a working command of the English language and be able to communicate orally and in writing.
