Job Summary:

The Branch Security Officer ensures the safety and security of all EdFed Locations, assets, staff, members and visitors. The Lead Branch Security Officer responsibilities will include but are not limited to creating security officer schedules, performing routine security duties either on tour or at a fixed post, monitoring suspicious behavior, enforcing company policy and system testing.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Take lead role to ensure the team’s time is used wisely by creating and administering shift schedules for security team.
• Coordinate replacement officers for callouts
• Train all new hires on safety, security and robbery procedures.
• Check all fire suppression equipment for routine maintenance.
• Document and monitor all visitor and vendors entering and exiting the building.
• Perform routine test on all panic and burglar alarms.
• Maintain physical security presence for the entire branch location.
• Respond to security alarms and branch damage checks following active storms.
• Report all areas where damage and physical debris will potentially cause accidents.
• Verify successful operations of dye pack transmitters, panic buttons and bait traps.
• Report all light fixtures that are not illuminated.
• Respond and assist management team with irate members and visitors.
• Fill in as front desk concierge when branch needs assistance.
• Lead staff with after robbery procedures.
• Open and close branches daily.
• Stand on overlap post to provide security for employee arrivals and departures during opening and closing hours. Tours the parking facilities 2-3 times a day, ensuring that customer parking is used only by customers during office hours.
• Report all accidents to security manager.
• Maintain robbery bag supplies.
• Perform additional duties assigned by Management Team.
