What We're Looking For We are seeking an CEI Roadway Inspector for current and future FDOT construction work in Central Florida. FDOT Asphalt, Concrete and Earthwork experience is a must. HNTB is looking to grow our local CEI inspection team.

This position will be based in Celebration, FL and surrounding area. At HNTB, you can create a career that is meaningful to you while building communities that matter to all of us. What You'll Do: + Observes, documents, and verifies work in progress by the construction contractor to ensure compliance with contract documents and plans.

Confirms procedures are followed and material used conforms to specifications. + Utilizes engineering inspection practices to perform standard mathematical calculations and measurements of completed work to date. + Maintains Inspector's daily report of assigned work activities, contactor labor and equipment, quantity of material received and verified. + Performs on-site material testing and produces as-constructed sketches as required. + Performs other duties as assigned. What You'll Need: + High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and 3 years of construction related experience. + All required jurisdictional certificates and state requirements. What We Prefer: + At least 2 years of verifiable FDOT CEI experience in roadway construction. + This position is ideally suited for local candidates in the area above due to the nature of the work. + FDOT certifications (CTQP Asphalt I, CTQP Earthwork I, ACI Concrete Field Technician, CTQP Concrete Field Inspector I, CTQP Final Estimates I, Intermediate MOT) + Proficient in reading and understanding construction plans and specifications. + Ability to work with others, take direction, and communicate verbally and in writing. + Willingness to learn.
