About Indiana Sign & Barricade (ISB)

Established in 2007, ISB is a laborers union signatory company that sells, rents, and installs road-safety related products and services; primarily within the central and southern Indiana Highway Construction Industry. ISB provides 24-hour traffic control systems, road-sign installation, pavement markings, and grooving and grinding for striping. We offer a variety of purchase and rental options such as arrow boards, rigid and roll-up signs, barricades, cones, drums, jersey barrier wall, message boards and portable traffic signals.


Job Summary

Unload and load supplies and equipment for company and vendor trucks, prepare orders for jobs, assists with pickups and deliveries, and perform various functions for the company in the warehouse and in the yard.


Pay & Benefits

$18/hr. (starting rate varies based on experience, weekly overtime pay available during the busy season. Benefits include health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance. Company provides 401K with match, vacation, and holiday pay.


Duties/Responsibilities


  • Prepares, cleans, and sweeps work areas and maintain a neat, and orderly work environment.

  • Assist Laborer's with loading and unloading trucks manually and with forklifts.

  • Lifts, carries, loads and unloads various construction items

  • Ability to uses power tools to cut, drill, and perform various shop tasks safely and effectively.

  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.


Required Skills/Abilities


  • Ability to lift and move a minimum of 51 pounds

  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

  • Mechanical background/experience preferred (not required).


Job Requirements


  • A valid Driver's License is required, and must be maintained, to operate company trucks.

  • Class A, Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred and compensated. ISB assists with obtaining a Class A, CDL.

  • Must have a clean driving record and be able to pass background check including driving.

  • Must be able to successfully pass a drug test and meet federal DOT requirements.

  • Ability to work flexible hours.


Education & Experience


  • A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Basic reading/writing ability to comply with road signs, complete paperwork and communicate with customers owners and the traveling public is required.
