Job description

The Levy Group of Companies is looking for an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Administrator for our Levy Brandenburg Mill Service location in Brandenburg, KY. The EHS Administrator provides administrative support in the function of EHS compliance and supports the EHS team in special projects and initiatives.

Pay: $17-20.00 an hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Responsibilities

The EHS Administrator will:
 

  • Assist with the implementation of safety and environmental policies, regulations, and programs.
  • Collect and file site inspections.
  • Track and monitors risk assessments, observations, and emergency drills
  • Maintain and monitors compliance for site safety programs and training records.
  • Utilize and manage company's electronic safety system for incident reporting and investigations.
  • Order and maintains PPE
  • Completes periodic reporting to site and corporate entities.
  • Plays an active role in the Site Safety Committee and Monthly Safety Meetings.
  • Assists with the delivery of training including but not limited to:
  • Site Safety Orientation
  • Safety Flashes
  • New Hire Training
  • Monthly Training
  • Annual Training
  • Manage customer specific documentation/training requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Skills

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Safety related experience or internship
  • Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and EPA standards
  • Knowledge of local, state and customer required safety standards
  • Computer skills for Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • High level of organization
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
  • Ability to interface with various levels of management, employees, and customers.
  • Ability to travel
  • High School Diploma, degree preferred
