Job description

The Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, execution, financial performance, and successful delivery of commercial construction projects. This role requires strong experience managing ground up commercial projects, with tilt up construction experience being highly preferred. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, financially minded, and thrives in a fast paced environment.
What You'll Do:
  • Manage commercial ground up construction projects from award through final closeout
  • Lead project planning, scheduling, procurement, budgeting, and execution
  • Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure milestone and completion dates are achieved
  • Prepare, manage, and forecast project budgets, cost reports, and financial performance
  • Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documents for accuracy and completeness
  • Negotiate and manage subcontractor agreements and purchase orders
  • Lead project meetings with owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams
  • Manage Requests for Information, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
  • Identify project risks early and implement solutions to maintain schedule and budget
  • Partner closely with Superintendents to coordinate field operations and resolve project challenges
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients while providing exceptional customer service
  • Ensure compliance with all safety requirements, company standards, and quality expectations
  • Coordinate successful project turnover and closeout documentation
What You'll Bring:
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience with a commercial general contractor
  • Proven experience managing ground up commercial construction projects
  • Tilt up construction experience is strongly preferred
  • Experience managing industrial, warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, office, retail, or other commercial projects
  • Strong understanding of project budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, contracts, and cost control
  • Experience managing projects from preconstruction through final completion
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Proficiency with Procore, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, or similar construction software
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required
