Department/Unit Summary 
Medical transportation of neonates and children over substantial distances involves distinct challenges and requires specially trained teams of healthcare professionals. Join our team of neonatal and pediatric transport services, the only unit in Southern New Mexico dedicated to transfer children ranging from newborn to 18 years. Our specialty care transport team of registered nurses and respiratory therapists are extensively trained and available 24/7. We transfer children who are too sick for a standard ambulance to a specialized facility that can provide higher-level care. The team can handle a wide range of emergencies and are under the direct supervision of our PICU/NICU Physicians.

Qualifications and requirements 
Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:
    Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
    PALS and ACLS are required within six months of hire. 
    Three years as a Registered Nurse in perinatal, neonatal and pediatric critical care or emergency required
