Day Surgery Patient Population: Preoperative and Post Anesthesia Phase II Discharge Patient Ratios: Pre-op and Post-op 1:1, Phase II 1:3 Number of Beds: 27 beds Department Specifics: Getting patients ready for their surgery/procedure (IR), need excellent IV skills, patient teaching/education, providing patients and family with pre/post op instructions, work well in high stress and fast paced environment, self-motivated during low census, flexible with availability and assignments. Daily flow is dependent on OR schedule and hours may vary based on surgery and schedule census. Registered Nurse Requirements Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program 2 YEARS OF RN CHARGE EXPERIENCE - REQUIRED 1 YEAR OF DAY SURGERY EXPERIENCE - REQUIRED License/Certification RN - Registered Nurse BLS - Basic Life Support (required within 30 days of hire) PALS- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (required within 30 days of hire)
