Rn Prn In information

Do PRN registered nurses make more money?

PRN (pro re nata) registered nurses are paid per shift or hour and typically earn less overall than full-time staff nurses due to fewer hours and benefits. However, they often receive higher hourly rates to compensate for the irregular schedule and lack of benefits. Overall earnings depend on the number of shifts worked and the facility's pay structure.

Is working PRN as a registered nurse in worth it?

Working PRN as a registered nurse offers flexibility in scheduling and can provide additional income without full-time commitment. However, PRN positions may lack benefits such as health insurance and paid time off, and hours can be inconsistent depending on staffing needs.
