Job description

RN Circulator for Outpatient Surgery

Location: Pomona, CA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Day shift, 4x10 hours (07:00 - 17:30). No weekends, no call, and no holidays.

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced RN Circulator to join our outpatient surgery team. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, with a patient-centered focus and the ability to work collaboratively with the surgical team including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary RN in the operating room, providing high-quality patient care and assistance to the surgical team.
  • Prepare the operating room for surgery, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are present.
  • Assist with anesthesia procedures including intubation/extubation and nerve blocks.
  • Ensure adherence to surgical policies and procedures, including accurate documentation in Cerner.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and utilize the chain of command as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in outpatient surgery and operating room environments.
  • Current RN license, along with ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
  • Proficiency in Cerner charting system.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with surgical procedures such as hysterectomy, arthroscopy, mastectomy, and more as listed.
