- Ability to float between various units
Description:
This position is for a registered nurse specializing in the medical-surgical and telemetry float pool.
The nurse will work night shifts, specifically three 12-hour shifts per week.
The nurse must be able to float to various units including medical, general surgical, neurology, and orthopedics.
Experience in managing a patient ratio of 1:6 during night shifts is required.
Candidates should have knowledge and experience in the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, Med/Surg, and orthopedic trauma care.
Staffing support includes interdisciplinary teams such as IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services among others.
The nurse will be expected to have the ability to care for patients across a wide age range from adolescents to geriatrics.
All applicants must possess current certifications through the American Heart Association.
Applicants should be prepared to provide supervisory references.
Candidates are encouraged to maintain minimal requests for time off during the assignment.
Specialty experience within the last year is necessary for this role.
