Lead a team. Influence practice. Advance patient safety across ChristianaCare.
ChristianaCare is seeking an experienced Infection Prevention Manager to provide clinical and operational leadership for our system-wide Infection Prevention and Control Program.
This is an opportunity for an accomplished infection prevention professional to move beyond surveillance and reporting to lead people, influence practice, and drive meaningful improvements in patient safety. Partnering with physicians, clinical teams, operational leaders, and executives, you will help shape and implement strategies to reduce healthcare-associated infections and strengthen infection prevention practices across the continuum of care.

What You'll Do
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of infection prevention professionals, creating a culture of accountability, engagement, and high performance.
  • Direct infection surveillance, risk identification, prevention, and mitigation activities across the health system.
  • Lead improvement initiatives focused on reducing healthcare-associated infections and advancing patient safety outcomes.
  • Analyze infection trends and data to identify risks, recommend interventions, and evaluate results.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on infection prevention standards, NHSN reporting, regulatory requirements, and accreditation readiness.
  • Partner with multidisciplinary teams on outbreak response, reprocessing, construction, risk assessments, product evaluation, and other infection prevention priorities.
  • Develop and advance evidence-based policies, practices, and education that support regulatory compliance and organizational goals.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, public health, biology, or another health/science-related field required; master's degree preferred.
  • Certification in Infection Control (CIC) required.
  • Five years of infection prevention and control experience required.
  • Three or more years of leadership, management, or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of NHSN reporting, CMS and regulatory requirements, infection surveillance, data analysis, and performance improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, collaborate, make independent decisions, and influence physicians, clinical teams, and leaders across an organization.
  • Epic and Bugsy experience preferred.

Annual Compensation Range $102,148.80 - $163,446.40
This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
